Yes, we are happy to set up private tours for groups! To request a tour or learn more, please visit our Private Group Tours page and submit a Private Group Tour Request Form. We will respond with 24 hours.
We do not provide a waiting list. Tour tickets are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
We walk at a comfortable and moderate pace on fairly level ground covering about 1.2 miles in 3 hours. We will be seated at most of our tastings, but tour guests will be standing or walking for a good part of the tour. We recommend you wear comfortable shoes!
Absolutely! We’d love for you to gain a new appreciation of your hometown! While you may be familiar with some of our tasting locations, you’ll get a chance to discover new foods, dive into the stories of local chef and owners, spend a fun afternoon with fellow foodies and explore the history and architecture of your city in a unique way! Also, this tour is a fantastic activity to entertain out-of-town family and friends.
The tours are held rain or shine, year round. Please check the weather forecast and dress accordingly. We’ll provide ponchos in case of sudden weather changes or if you do not have your own raincoat or umbrella. For most days in the Tri-Valley, we always suggest sunscreen, sunglasses, and a hat.
Comfortable and casual! And we encourage you to check the local weather and dress accordingly. Sunglasses and/or hat are always a good choice in sunny Livermore. We’ll say it again…. Wear comfy shoes!
Gratuities for the guide are not included in the ticket price. They are greatly appreciated, although not mandatory. The standard gratuity in the service industry in the United States is 15-20%.
Yes, the tour is wheelchair and baby stroller accessible. If you are a wheelchair guest or will be pushing a stroller, please let us know at least 24 hours before the tour begins so that we can ensure you have the best tour experience possible.
Yes, we only offer tours in English at this time. Please email or call us if you would like to make arrangements for your own interpreter to join the tour.
No, pets are not allowed on this tour. Please notify us in advance in the Notes section during ticket purchase if you will be accompanied by a service animal.
Yes, restrooms are available during the tour at multiple locations.

Although we offer young foodie ticket prices, the tour is 3 hours long and some children have a limited attention span and therefore the tour may not be appropriate for them. Parents, who know their children best, should assess the situation individually. Since there is a lot of standing and walking, please consider this when deciding whether the tour is appropriate for your child. We want to ensure a pleasant tour experience for yourself and those around you!
If you’re bringing an infant or young child and they will not be participating in the tastings, you do not need to purchase a ticket for them. However, please let us know if you will be attending with an infant in the Notes section when you purchase tickets. You may bring a stroller on the tour, but it may have to remain outside at some tasting locations.
Yes. Specific parking information, as well as the exact meeting location, will be provided after ticket purchase.
No, but fairly close! Our tours end a few short blocks from the meeting point. Detailed instructions are provided after ticket purchase with starting and ending point locations.
Livermore Food Tours stop at 5 or 6 locations, depending on the tour, that have a variety of food that is enough for a satisfying lunch for most appetites. We suggest that you have a light breakfast the morning of your tour.
A variety of tastes from different parts of the world! We’ll savor food at ethnic cafes, specialty shops, and local restaurants. Much of the food sampled on the tour is locally grown or produced. Tastings may vary from tour to tour, but you will be treated to hearty, sweet and savory items.

Water is provided throughout the tour. There is a wine tasting included for guests 21 and older. Please be sure to bring a valid ID to partake in the wine tasting.
Please let us know if you (or anyone in your group) have a dietary restriction or food allergy when you purchase your ticket. With advance notice, we will do our best to make food substitutions, but can’t guarantee that all tastings will meet your needs. Accommodations cannot be made at the time of the tour.
We can provide a vegetarian option at most tasting locations with advance notice. Please be sure to make us aware when purchasing tickets, as we will not be able to arrange for alternative options on the day of the tour.
